What is this blog about?
Anyone can understand business.
These four words are the reason I started writing.
Businesses are complicated and poorly understood as a result. But that doesn’t mean it should be impossible to understand how and why businesses are run the way they are.
It is not hard to understand at least basic business operations and principles. But it often isn’t in the interest of corporations to explain what happens behind the curtains.
I think this education is needed. This blog is for you if you are someone who:
- wants to push for change in your own company by understanding how decisions get made and who to influence;
- wants to understand how companies work so you can construct very specific criticism that gets you past the Moron Filter and make companies listen to you;
- read a news article and just doesn’t understand why a company did what it did; or
- is just curious about business theory and want to learn.
I will occassionally also write about other things I find fun.
Why should I trust you?
I have over a decade long career working for large corporations and currently work at a Fortune 500 company. In my current role, I am responsible for business operations and business development.
The only purpose of this site is just a place for me to write about things I care about.
